Student Art Show!
So I was waiting to post about the RCTC Student Art Show until after the opening; I would have posted last Friday but there was a snow storm that forced the show to be pushed back to this week. So last night was the finally the opening! For those that don't know, each spring semester Rochester Community and Technical College puts on a student art show. Any student that has taken an art or design class in the past year can enter up to three pieces. With the many different student artists at RCTC, this year had so many different mediums!
I chose to enter three pieces that I spent a lot of time and energy on, and that were really close to my heart. (To see pictures of my entries, you can click the image above or check them out in the gallery). Last year I entered and only one of my pieces got in, which was such an honor. This is my last year at RCTC so this show meant so much more to me. I was so honored because every one of my pieces got into the show! It just made me feel like everything I have been working so hard for meant something.
To top it all off, I was one of the students to receive an Art + Design Scholarship that the amazing faculty at RCTC put together. It is a huge honor and I just feel so incredibly blessed! I would like to thank everyone that has encouraged me throughout the years, everyone that came to the opening, and the amazing faculty at RCTC! I can all honestly say that it is going to be so hard for me to leave here!
